Q.How Do I Save Ivy Plant?
Hi there, I am hoping you can help me. My partner received a potted ivy plant about 2 years ago which we kept indoors, however over time the leaves started to turn from green to a more reddy/brown colour. However there are still some light green leaves, the majority of which are close to the base. From what I have gleaned from the internet this might be due to over watering? I have picked off the dried leaves as I thought this would help. Then I read that ivy needs more drainage than it was possibly getting from the indoor pot so it transferred it to a sheltered outdoor pot. I have attached photos to show how the plant is suffering. If you have any suggestions of how I might make it thrive again I would really appreciate it. Should I prune it back to encourage growth? The ivy plant was a gift to my partner when is mother passed away so I would love to save it if at all possible. Thanks in advance for your help.

It is, likely, lacking in nutrients! Depending on the potting mix used, it may not contain enough to sustain the plant.
I would recommend planting in a mix of potting soil and compost. Make sure that the soil is dry about halfway down the container between each watering.
Each year, you will want to prune the top growth, and trim off about 1/3 of the bottom of root growth and replant into the container. This will help it to stay happy in container.
