Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI don’t have much experience, but the shrubs appear to be dying. There’s not as much green as in past years, some of the branches have dried out to almost a white color. I used wood mulching, after removing some of it I found mold underneath. Not sure what I should do next.

You can try hard pruning the shrubs to revitalize them. I also would clean out the mulch and add new. Here is how to prune shrubs:
