How Do I Replant a Large Rose Bush That the Roots are Gone

I dug up some large rose bushes and chopped off the roots. Is it possible to replant them and they survive? I purchased some root hormone powder, will that work?

Rose is a very hardy plant. You just cannot kill it. Just simply plant in a fertile soil, keep the soil moist. it would develop roots and produce leaves in a couple of weeks.
