How Do I Remove Pups Off My Ponytail Palm

A couple of years ago, I fell on my beautiful ponytail and thought i had damaged it so bad it would not survive, but then it grew again and now it has four more heads on it. How can I remove the extra heads without damaging it any further? cheers. shirl heald
