How do I remove a turtle from under my patio pavers which are now collapsing?

The turtle is causing our paver patio to collapse.

It's tough to find research that doesn't sing the praises of turtles in the garden. However, I suggest that you call your local agricultural extension service to find out what's appropriate and legal in your area. You may need to trap the turtle by setting up some kind of bait, but I think it's important to find out how to do it correctly.
