Q.How Do I Protect The Trunk Of A Young Tree From Cats Scratching It?

Zone Milton Keynes | Flower Power added on June 6, 2020 | Answered

I have put a spiral tree protector round it, but that had pinched too tight & damaged it further.

One of those tree protectors will be your best bet. If it is a protector designed for trees, it won't be too tight, as they are meant to expand with the size of the trunk. They are, also, supposed to fit tight in order to remain effective.

Unfortunately, this will be the least harmful method to your cat for protecting the tree.
