Q.Keep the Neighborhood Cats Out of My Garden and Yard

vermont gardening added on July 13, 2011 | Answered

How do I keep the neighborhood cats out of my garden and yard? The entire neighborhood seems to have cats and they love to use my yard to go “pottie”. They pee on my grill cover and, well, do everything else all over my lawn and garden. I have heard that ammonia helps but not sure how to apply it or if I should try it at all. They also keep putting holes in my water garden liner in an attempt at getting water, so I really need to do something. I love cats, but this is getting expensive and disgusting. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

I personally like keeping a hose and sprayer handy and squirt them whenever I see them in my yard.
