Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI have a dog and cat and read that this plant is dangerous for animals so I don’t want it in the house. I live in central Missouri so winters are very unpredictable. Please advise, thank you.

Does your garage have a window for sunlight? If so, you can try overwintering it there as long as it stays frost free. Same on the shed if it stays above freezing and has a window for light. Do you have a room inside that no one uses and the door could be kept shut, keeping the pets out? Maybe you have a basement the pets don’t frequent. Do you have a nearby friend or relative who would keep it for you over winter?
