Q.How do I grow Asian Long Beans in South Florida?

Zone ?--S. Florida | 420miler added on April 26, 2012 | Answered

I have a seedling of Asian Long Bean and am putting it in the ground in late April in south Florida, near Fort Lauderdale and Miami. How much sun does it need each day?  What else do I need to know about watering and care?

They should receive at least 6 hours of sunlight each day, preferably more, and 2-4 inches of water a week. It is better to have 1-2 long waterings per week than water everyday for a short period. Long waterings encourage deeper roots and healthier plants.
