I am over run by weeds, especially witch grass. How can I get rid of it without breaking my back?

In terms of weeds and grass, the best natural control methods are either hand weeding or hoeing or smothering. Smothering involves laying down landscaping cloth or thick layers of newspaper in between your plants and over the weeds. The newspaper or cloth can then be covered with mulch to make it look nicer, if you would like. Also, if they are broad leaf weeds, you can use a broad leaf specific herbicide to help eliminate them. But if they are grass-like weeds, you may not have any choice but to either hand pull or dig them.
