How do I get rid of Japanese beetles?

Zone 24401 | mmkiely added on June 30, 2015 | Answered

A gazillion Japanese beetles have swarmed into my yard and garden in the last week. They have destroyed the strawberries, and are making serious inroads on the Chrisitna plum, and are on the Japanese maple, and have started on the green beans. I need to know how to quickly get rid of them. Help!

This can be so frustrating. I have had luck with introducing plants that do not like. It takes time but 3 years ago my garden was hit hard by this pest and now I rarely see them.
