I have oodles this year, too, zone 9, Bay Area. This article is somewhat helpful: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/vegetables/cucumber/cucumber-beetle-control.htm [1]
I also garden with a bucket of warm, soapy water nearby. Shake flower heads right over the bucket and you will be surprised what falls out. Soapy water kills them.
Maybe diatomaceous earth? but it might kill your beneficial insects, too. This might help you decide if you should use it: http://www.richsoil.com/diatomaceous-earth.jsp [2]
