Q.How Do I Get A Rose Bush To Sprout And Bloom?
I just bought a rose bush that only has the roots and stalk, no buds, sprouts, or blooms. I planted the roots in the ground several weeks ago and still nothing is sprouting even (absolutely no leaves or buds). Do I need to freshly prune it or do something else to get it going?

Bare root roses aren't usually sold this late. It should have some foliage. You can cut off a couple of inches on each stalk just above a node. Cut it at an angle of 1/4 inch. Was there a bud union? Is it buried? If so, bring it up above the soil line.
