How Do I Care For Indoor Flower Bulbs?

I was given a planter filled with flower bulbs to grow indoors. What do I do after the flowers bloom and die? How much do I cut off or take out of the pot?

Sometimes a forced bulb will not grow again but it's worth trying. After your bulbs have bloomed, continue to water them when soil is dry and site them near bright light. You can add some bone meal to the soil around the bulb. You can remove the flowering stalks after bloom, but let the foliage die back naturally. When the last expected frost date has passed, you can plant them outside.
