Q.How Deep Do I Plant Daffodils?

I bought some daffodil bulbs recently to plant in my lawn.
On the instructions it says to plant 4” deep. Is that 4” from the base of the bulb or the tip? And are there any consequences of planting too deep or shallow?

That would be 4 inches from the tip, so your planting hole will go deeper than the 4 inches, about 6 inches. However, if your soil is clayey, you should plant them closer to the surface. Plant them in groups, rather than one here and there, for a pleasing effect.
