How close can you get tulips to blossom on a certain date?

This would not be possible for a home grower, especially with tulips. They would need to have a great many variables tightly controlled and you just can't do it at home.

What you can try is planting new bulbs in waves, say once a week. Then they take 3 - 5 weeks to bloom and with succession planting you would be guaranteed to have some blooming when you needed them.
