How Can I Save My Hibiscus Plant?

I have a five-foot Hibiscus Plant outside my front door and recently the leaves have turned yellow and are falling off at an alarming rate! There are hardly any green leaves left and I need some help.

Is this a tropical hibiscus or hardy hibiscus? If tropical, mine that are in full sun are doing the same thing. Are yours in a pot? If you are experiencing great heat and no rain, I think it is just suffering as a result. Be sure to water well and you may want to move it to partial shade during the hot times of the day. They won’t bloom as well but they live for another day (Fall). YOu can then get it to survive to bring into the house this winter (if you get frosts).
