Q.How Can I Save a Cedar/Juniper With Cedar Apple Rust?

Anonymous added on September 13, 2011 | Answered

Last year in the spring I had lots of these things on my cedar/juniper trees. This spring the cedar tree was infested with these ‘galls’ and it looks like some of the branches are dying. The two trees sit side by side. I noticed this summer that the juniper now has some of the ‘galls’ on it’s branches. Will these galls kill my trees or not? They are too tall to spray. They are approx. 20-25 ft. tall. If I lose them, it will ruin that side of the garden. What should I do?
