Q.HOW CAN I PREPARE A SITE FOR SEEDING GRASS WITHOUT A TILLER?
THIS AREA IS COVERED WITH WEEDS, ITS BEEN NEGLECTED FOR YEARS, I HAVE BERMUDA GRASS GROWING AS A BASE, I’VE JUST BEGUN WATERING THE SITE. HOW DO I GET THIS DONE WITHOUT A TILLER. I HAVE TIME SHOULD I USE A GRASS MADE FOR SHADED AREAS. THE MAIN THING IS HOW TO PREPARE THE SITE FOR SEEDING GRASS. THIS IS IN HUGOTON, KS 67951 A 6B ZONE. DO I KILL THE WEEDS WITH AN HERBACIDE. CAN I USE VINEGAR AND SALT TO GET RID OF WEEDS?

Vinegar is more appropriate in the cracks of your driveway or other isolated areas so you don't kill desirable plants as well. Since you already have bermuda, you can't solarize the soil, so really, the best thing would be to use a selective herbicide that will kill weeds, but not grass.
