Q.How can I move a rose bush that is struggling?

Zone 06877 | Anonymous added on June 14, 2020 | Answered

This rose bush is in a corner that gets more shade now because of a tree that has outgrown its area. I would like to move it to a sunnier spot without killing it. Can I move it midseason?

It's not recommended to move a rosebush mid-season; it is just too hard on them. You might try removing a few limbs from the tree to see if you can get some more sunlight to hit the rosebush's spot. Then move it in spring.

Once transplanted, water the rosebush with Super Thrive and a root stimulator. This helps the rosebush deal with any transplant shock and stress. Water the rosebush with a fresh batch of the mix mentioned the next 5 to 6 times it needs watering.
