I don’t want to get rid of the S W but it’s looking awful with the tall grass growing much taller than the plant how can I rid the grass without harming my Sweet Woodruff? Thank you

I checked the online product label for a popular garden grass killer that is safe to use around ornamentals, but sweet woodruff is not listed as a plant that won't be injured.
If your sweet woodruff is not too close together, you can paint on herbicide or protect the desirable plants with cardboard, but that is very tedious if the bed is large. Here are more ideas:
