How and where on the plant do I tie my cauliflower?

The article says to tie the cauliflower, but it doesn’t specify the time or place on the plant itself to tie the string. I have never seen a cauliflower plant and do not know if the head is close to the ground like cabbage. I know it’s a silly question, but guys, I really need the help.

It is not a silly question. They grow close to the ground like a cabbage. the cauliflower head will have leaves growing on the edges. These leaves get tied over top of the head to blanch the head and give it a milder taste. You can also simply cover the head with a bag a few days before you harvest to blanch it that way.
