Household plant

The flower on my red ginger plant has turned brown. The foliage is green and is growing new sprouts. How do I get the flower part to change from brown to red again?

Your flowers may have reached their maturity and are now fading. The spent flowers can be removed from the plant to make room for the new flowers.
