I have a palm plant that is growing like crazy, but now it has these stick like branches with pods all over them. Can anyone tell me what they are?

These are the palm flowers. You can remove the stick-like branches (the flower stalks) producing them if you don't like the appearance, or you can leave them on and see what develops.
