Houseflies in flower gardens

Why are my flower gardens attracting so many houseflies? They aren’t the usual flies that look like bees or various other flies. These are typical houseflies with the gold and green bodies. It’s absolutely disgusting. Some of my flowers have 20 to 50 flies on each pot. It’s ruining my garden experience. Instead of bees and butterflies, I’m getting houseflies. Please help!!

Flies can make a home anywhere. Planting certain herbs is very beneficial. Here is a link that will tell you about that;

Freshen the soil in your pots or add mulch to be sure there is no decay that is attracting the flies.
