Hostas will not flower

Hostas flowered frst year. Now after another 2 springs, no flowers. Plant leaves look healthy.

While most people grow hostas for their foliage rather than the flowers, it can still be frustrating when they do not bloom. Don’t let it. Most likely the soil is lacking phosphorus, which can be remedied with a phosphorus-rich fertilizer or the addition of bone meal to the soil.
