Q.Hosta pests

Zone London Ontario Canada | Awest added on September 18, 2015 | Answered

My plants are taking a beating in one garden. I’ve attached pictures to show you what’s happening. I’ve tried coffee grounds, beer traps and egg shells and nothing…so I guess it’s not slugs. Can you tell me what you think it is and how to control it?

Thanks, from London Ontario

It does appear to Slug damage but numerous bugs or insects also can cause damage to leaves and plants.

I would continue to treat for slugs but also treat the plants with Neem Oil. It is organic and is safe for people and pets.
