Hostas

After host’s bloom, should I cut long stalks off?
Do the pod like things on stalks contain seeds that one can propagate or is only method to divide? When is best time to do that?
Thanks.

I prefer to cut down the flower stems once the flowers have faded.
Then allow the foliage to die down naturally.
