I live in Texas, Planted some hosta’s and they are being eaten in the center by something??

If your hostas are being eaten in the middle, rather than having holes chewed in the leaves, this points to animals rather than snails or slugs.

Critters that like hostas include, deer, rabbits, squirrels and voles. Any sightings of these in your garden or neighborhood?
