Hosta flowers

I do not care for the white flower spikes in my hostas. They draw bees to our front door and patio areas where we like to sit. Does cutting them out when the sproud damage the growth cycle or future of the plants themselves?
Thank you!

I can’t stand Hosta flowers either, so I remove them as soon as they appear. It has no detrimental effect on next year’s growth.
