Horseradish Plant Roots and Leaves

We were given a horseradish plant already grown. The question is, are the roots what we eat, and what about the leaves? Do I dry them first and then grind them or what?

Typically we eat the roots. Horseradish leaves are also edible and may be used in salad or cooked similar to greens, though many people choose not to eat them due to their bitter taste.
