Honeysuckle Leaves Turning Yellow

I planted a new honeysuckle plant in the same spot as the old one that died last year for reasons unknown. It was against my better judgement to plant in the same spot, but husband over-ruled. Now on the leaves of the new one there is a white spotty film before they turn yellow and fall off. There is new growth and it has climbed on the trellis. Please advise.
