Q.Honeysuckle bush

Zone 60452 | Anonymous added on April 18, 2018 | Answered

I have some honeysuckle bushes and need some more to replace some. Problem not sure which kind I have. The flowers are bright pink with little yellow shoots coming out of middle. Leaves are small and green.

Looks like Tartarian honeysuckle. This is an invasive species and some states have banned its sale. They are easy to grow from seed or from stem cuttings. Spring is a great time to take cuttings. While this article discusses lilac, the technic is the same: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/shrubs/lilac/growing-lilac-cuttings.htm
