Honeysuckle Blight

I live in zone 5, IL 60004. I have a hedge of honeysuckle (40 years old). The hedge has been cut down several times to remove thick old wood and help encourage new growth. The last three years the leaves have not done well due to a fungal blight. I have tried some things but I’m not getting results. I’m looking for your expert opinion for prevention and treatment. I realize this shrub is out of favor, but I would like to improve its health and growth results.

Here is how to determine whether your hedge has the disease called honeysuckle leaf blight:

Removing any infected, dead, or fallen leaves before or during winter is the most important control measure for that disease.

Here are some other diseases that can affect honeysuckle, but without knowing what the symptoms look like, it is difficult to tell which one your hedge might have:

You may want to consult your local extension service to see if they can help you diagnose the problem.

I have already diagnosed that my hedge has this fungus as I stated…Please reread my question and I hope you can give some advice. I don’t find the links helpful at this point.
