Every year as the buds appear on my honeysuckle vine, the leaves fall off and the buds die. It looks great in spring with lots of leaves then just before buds open, leaves fall off and only a couple of buds open. The plant it bare now.

There are a few different reasons why this could be happening. Adequate lighting and moisture are priority for honeysuckle so be sure its getting plenty of both. Certain varieties flower at different times, you may have a late bloomer. Its also possible that its just its age, less than 3 years old may not be mature enough to flower.
