Zone 4-5 | Anonymous added on May 31, 2023 | Answered

Hi – I’m interested in growing honeyberries. Can you please say what the optimal soil pH should be? (I’ve found a lot of conflicting info on different websites.) Also, what would the best companion plants be?

The pH can range from 5 to 7. It does not need the acidic soils of blueberry and can tolerate alkaline soil up to 8.

For companion plants, use plants that attract pollinators so your fruit will reap the benefits of pollination.
