Holly Bushes, Leaves Fell Off

For some unknown reason, all the leaves fell off my holly bushes that have red berries. Why, and what can I do to save them?

It sounds like the plants have a fungus that is causing leaf drop. There are a few that can do this, but they all can be treated with a fungicide. Treat the plants with a fungicide.

If there is not much else in the way of vegetation in the area, it could also be deer. While this is not a plant of choice for them, they will eat it if they have not many other choices and they will strip the plant of its leaves.
