Q.Hollow tomato stems

Zone I live in Central Illinois | Mary Mize added on May 11, 2014 | Answered

My indoor tomatoes looked good. I used lights and heat pads and then they got big but the stems turned really hollow and snapped off. Why?

Sounds like Bacterial Stem Rot. It is more common in greenhouse plants. There is not much that can be done for it.
