Hobo hydrangea

My first experience with them was last summer. What should I expect now (Sping). There are tiny green leaf looking growth on the old wood. Where and when do flowers appear?

I see information about Bobo hydrangeas but not Hobo hydrangeas. Bobo should bloom from the middle of summer until fall, and it blooms on new wood.
