How to Take Raspberry Cuttings

I would like to know how to make cuttings from the raspberry plant that I have. It started as one little stick from Walmart; now it is a clump covering an area of 4 ft. x 4 ft. with canes everywhere. I would like to have a full row of plants. The berries are wonderful. I pulled one up by accident and tried to stick it in the ground, but it died.
