Hibiscus Plants

Hibiscus Flower

Anonymous added on October 23, 2014 | Answered

On the buds of my flower I have black dots, or eggs or something like that. Can't find out on internet about this. Buds still bloom but the black spots are still there. What do you think they are? How do I get rid of them?

It sounds like it may be aphids or scale, but could be several other pests as well. Fortunately, all the pests it could be are treated the same. Treat the plant with neem oil to get rid of them. Here is more information on neem oil: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/pests/pesticides/neem-oil-uses.htm
