hippeastums

This year my hippeastrums have not flowered. They get quite a bit of shade but every other year they have flowered.

As a bulb plant, hippeastrums can skip a year of flowering if they were unable to store up enough energy the year before or if stress caused them to spend too much energy. They will probably flower again next year. Also check this article to see if it may have any of these issues:
