hibiscus yellow leaves

My hibiscus is in a pot the correct size but the leaves are turning yellow and some have brown spots on them. I sprayed it with rose and garden insect spray and there is lots of new growth but older leaves are still turning yellow. What should I do?

It sounds like the plant may have a black spot fungus. Treat the plants with a fungicide. If the yellow leaves continue, this article will have other suggestions: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/flowers/hibiscus/answers-to-what-causes-hibiscus-leaves-turning-yellow.htm [1]
