Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI’ve kept a small hibiscus inside all winter. I transplanted it outdoors today and realized it will probably freeze again tonight. I’ve covered it with an inverted plastic planter and a piece of tarp. Do you think my efforts will keep it from freezing? Hoping this will be our last freeze.

It really depends on how deep of a freeze. As an extra precaution, since you cannot dig it back up, add a jug or at least a small bottle of hot water or a strand of lit Christmas lights (the little white kind) under the planter. These will provide a little extra warmth to help fend off the cold.
