Hibiscus white ‘paste like’ disease on stem

Zone Houston, TX | shlester added on September 23, 2017 | Answered

How do I control this white 'paste like' spreading disease on my hibiscus stems. It kills the leaves beyond this 'infection'. I have been washing it off with soapy water and it doesn't seem to recur in the same spot.

Sulfur is a wonderful way to control fungal infections. This will rid your soil of the infection. Here is an article for more information: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/disease/using-lime-sulfur-in-gardens.htm
