Q.hibiscus plants

Anonymous added on November 11, 2014 | Answered

I live in PA and have a number of potted hibiscus plants. What can I do with them when I leave for FL for the winter? Can they be made to go dormant? I leave my house temp. around 55 degrees. HELP!

Yes, they can be made to go dormant and if your house stays 55 F and they are left in a dark place, this will be perfect. Just place them in those conditions and let nature do the rest. You will, however, need to see that they get a good watering once a month until you get back. Do you know someone who could do that for you?
