Q.hibiscus plant problem

Zone Arkansas | barbskarshaug added on May 19, 2012 | Answered

I have two hibiscus plants in containers. One of them is having the leaves turn yellow, and it has quit blooming. There seems to be some sort of crusty substance on some of the leaves and the buds. What do I need to do to save it?

It is possible that you have thrips. They are hard to see and they cause damage to the buds like that. This article will help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/pests/insects/controlling-thrips.htm
