Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comHello – I planted several hibiscus near my young, 6 ft tall little gem magnolia trees. They look droopy now and not filling in with leaves like I would expect them to in the spring. Are the hibiscus sucking all the water from them? Should I not plant hibiscus near a magnolia tree? What can I plant at the base of these trees in the flower bed?

Hibiscus are very nutrient hungry. As long as you are feeding them several times per year, then they can grow next to a Magnolia just fine. Unfortunately, your photo did not come through, so I am unable to see the damage. Without seeing the damage in question, it would be difficult to help correct the issue until I know exactly what is causing it.
