Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comWhy do leaves on my hibiscus tree turn yellow? I pull them off every day and there are always more. Tree has many blossoms, and many ants too. Is it nutrient based? I live in a hot area; water plant daily. Has portulaca and basil growing in its pot at base of tree.

Same problem – found 2 easy solutions! 1 don’t water everyday! I found out after an extreme dry spell and we didn’t water, my Hibiscus “Came to life”!
Solution 2 is: add 1 cup vinegar to 1 gallon of water – just apply it to the soil at the base of your plant (don’t get it on the leaves!) and you will be amazed! (found this on another gardening site)

Yellow leaves are normally stress related and since you mentioned ants, this would indicate a pest problem. The ants themselves are not a problem, but they are likely on the plant because of aphids, which secrete sugary-like honeydew that ants love. The aphids can be taken care of by treating the plant (and others around base) with neem oil. These articles will help:
