Hibiscus Leaves Turned White

I keep my potted hibiscus topiaries in a southeast window. Last month (June) I put them outside in the southeast sun. Some of the leaves turned white, so I brought them back inside. Now those white leaves are turning brown and falling off. What caused them to turn white? Too much sun? I live in southeastern Connecticut.

Yes, it was too much sun. This is called sunscald. It is like sunburn for plants. In order to avoid this, you need to acclimate plants when moving them outside. This article will help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/houseplants/hpgen/move-houseplant-outside.htm [1]
